This 100-hour Yoga Teacher Training is a unique opportunity for you to answer this calling and enrich your life and the lives of others with aliveness! You can learn how to let go of habitual patterns the mind entertains and the body holds. Then, you can release what is stuck and allow the flow of clear thoughts and space. With that, you can then listen deeply to feel the vibrancy of each cell and each breath.
The practice of Yoga is about getting real! We will use our bodies, minds, and other tools to realize and come into the heart of who we really are. Do not miss this chance to transform your practice, your teaching, and your life. Learn to be a teacher by becoming a great student!
During the training course, there will be many opportunities to get to know the body. We will explore anatomy and movement patterns: those that invigorate our being and those that damage our health. While a cross-section of required knowledge, such as pranayama, meditation, major yogic texts, philosophy and psychology of teaching, is covered, our focus will be on making the theory real and relevant to our growth.
A substantial amount of time will be spent on reading bodies and skilfully assisting students. You will have a strong base as a new teacher to assist and problem-solve. We will spend time creating engaging sequences, maintaining a good pace in class, and motivating students. Since teaching requires being ready for all abilities and body types, we will explore creative ways to use a variety of props and other Yoga tools.

100-hour Yoga Teacher Training FAQ’s

Who is the 100-hour program suitable for?
The 100-hour program provides a thorough foundation for anyone who wants to learn how to teach Yoga, particularly physical practice, and anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge for their personal use, not necessarily because they want to teach. The only prerequisite is a consistent physical yoga practice (at least 6 months).
When I complete the program, will I be certified to teach Yoga?
When you complete your Yoga Teacher Training, whether you are certified to teach Yoga depends on the number of hours and the program’s accreditation. A 100-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) provides valuable foundational knowledge and can help you begin teaching Yoga, but it typically doesn’t meet the complete requirements for professional certification. Most widely recognized certifications, such as the 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, are required to become a registered Yoga teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance or similar organizations. A 200-hour program covers essential areas like anatomy, sequencing, teaching methodology, and philosophy and qualifies you to teach independently. A 100-hour YTT can be a great starting point or a specialized certification for certain styles of Yoga. Still, additional training is usually necessary to be fully certified and able to teach Yoga professionally.
What will I learn in the 100-hour YTT program?
In the 100-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program, you will learn the foundational principles of Yoga, focusing on key elements like asana (postures), alignment, and sequencing. You will explore the anatomy and physiology of the body, understanding how different poses affect muscles, joints, and the breath. The program will also introduce you to pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation practices, helping you connect deeper with the body and mind. Additionally, you will study yoga philosophy, including ancient texts like the Yoga Sutras, to understand the spiritual and ethical aspects of Yoga. You will also develop essential teaching skills, such as effective cueing, creating well-structured classes, and offering modifications for various levels. This program will provide the tools to teach Yoga safely and confidently, whether you guide beginners or more experienced students.
What if I am not very flexible?
Yoga has absolutely nothing to do with being flexible. The different poses (asanas) in Yoga are designed to increase flexibility, but they are meant to heal and maintain the whole body’s health and vitality. It’s also not good to have too much flexibility, as it creates instability. Yoga is about balance, and finding that balance within yourself, no matter how bendy you are. The yoga asanas promote balance between strength and flexibility within your own capabilities.
How often and for how long should I practice Yoga?
The obvious answer is that the more you practice, the more you benefit, but we all have different lifestyles with different demands. If making class once a week is all you can manage, that’s better than nothing, and if doing Yoga three hours each day is all you can manage, that’s also better than nothing. We teach how to incorporate Yoga into your life. Everyone loves the way they feel after a Yoga class, so there’s no reason why we can’t get that feeling each day without bringing our Yoga mat out. What you need constantly changes, so if you listen to your body, your Yoga practice will be changing, too.
