From April to September, you find us in the beautiful Himalayas, in a quiet village called Bhagsu to learn the art of yoga from our professional trained teachers .
In the months from November to February, we are located close to the seaside, in Arambol, Goa.
Bhagsu (March to November)
Bhagsu is a quiet tiny village close to Dharamsala in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh is known for its beautiful natural environment, peaceful, serene mountain atmosphere and plenty of temples. Most of the area is not accessible to vehicles, everything is connected by forest trails and stone pathways leading up the hillside. Far away from urban noise, this area is a wonderful place to meditate, focus on yourself while being surrounded and inspired by the spiritual atmosphere of this region making it a perfect place for you to learn the Yoga Teacher Training Courses in Dharamsala, India.
The altitude here is roughly in between 1500 and 2200 meters. Temperatures are moderate in the beginning of the season and will climb up to about 35 degrees Celsius in June.
Bhagsu is in walking distance to vivid McLeod Ganj, being the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile. Also referred to as “Little Lhasa”, it is the home of many Tibetans and a popular destination for (Buddhist) spiritual seekers. Even their Holiness, the Dalai Lama, resides here.
Village Dharamkot is marked by meditation and Yoga. There are quite a few good restaurants and cafes, as well as beautiful hiking options far away from traffic noise.
How to reach Bhagsu
Delhi is 500 km away, Chandigarh is 250 km away, and Dharamshala is 20 km away. Dharamsala is the closest traffic hub. After reaching Dharamsala, you might find a bus to McLeod Ganj or straight jump into a taxi. From McLeod Ganj, there are no further means of transportation to Bhagsu other than taxi or walking. We will be happy to arrange pick up from your point of arrival.
The closest airport is Gaggal Airport (DHM), near Kangra, about 20km from Bhagsu. There are daily flights from New Delhi. After landing at Gaggal Airport, pick a taxi to Bhagsu. The taxi ride will be about 30-45 minutes and should cost about 900 INR.
Bhagsu itself does not have a bus stand which is why you want to find a bus to Dharamsala (few buses also go to McLeod Ganj).
Private bus companies are available for travel from Manali, Dehradun and Delhi. These services take upwards of 13 hr and cost from Rs 600 for a basic bus to Rs 1100 for a plusher Volvo. Tickets for Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC- A State Government body) can be booked online at http://hrtc.gov.in/HRTCTickets/ Chandigarh.
Buses from Pathankot cost around Rs 120 and take 4 hours to reach Dharamsala/McLeod Ganj. Once in Dharamsala, if your bus does not go all the way to McLeod Ganj, another bus can take you the rest of the way, another 15-20 minutes.
The nearest train station is Pathankot Railway Station, about 90 km away from Bhagsu. Pathankot Railway is a comfortable overnight journey from Delhi. Although it is possible to continue by train from Pathankot (very slow but pretty Kangra Valley Raiway to Kangra), you will reach quicker by moving on with bus or taxi from here. Busses will bring you to McLeod Ganj, from where you can walk or take a taxi to Bhagsu. Buses from Pathankot cost around Rs 120 and take 4 hours to reach Dharamsala/McLeod Ganj. Once in Dharamsala, if your bus does not go all the way to McLeod Ganj, another bus can take you the rest of the way for 14 rs. 15-20 minutes.
If you chose to travel to Kangra by train, you will need to hire an autorickshaw to the bus stand, take a bus to Dharamsala and change into a taxi for the last kilometers.
